Certified BMW 7 Series fans from all over will be excited to hear that BMW has updated their flagship model, and our
Pennsylvania BMW dealership is taking a look at the changes. BMW is expanding this model series with a new drive train and variants that make the 7 Series more fuel efficient, as well as emphasizing the driving pleasure of this top of its class luxury four door.
ENGINES — BMW will be introducing two diesel models for the certified BMW 7 Series. The first of these diesel models will be the BMW 740d, scheduled to be released in Autumn 2009 with a reported 306hp. The second diesel model will be the BMW 730d which will be the world's most fuel efficient and lowest emission luxury vehicle in its class. The BMW 730d fulfills the EU6 emission standard.
BMW has upped the top of the range model of certified BMW 7 Series to the gasoline powered 12 cylinder BMW 760i and 760Li. All told, the 2010 certified BMW 7 Series will have three gasoline and two diesel variants.
XDRIVE — xDrive is BMW's all-wheel drive system, currently available in the BMW X sports activity vehicles, the 5 Series, and the 3 Series. The xDrive system promotes driving dynamics and stability, making BMW the most successful all-wheel drive car manufacturer for the premium car segment.
The BMW 7 Series will now be available offered in the 750i xDrive and the 750Li xDrive, both of which boast an impressive 407hp from its V8 engine. The xDrive system provides exactly the right amount of power to each axle, allowing for precision handling in all driving conditions.
M Sports Package — In another exciting change for 2010, BMW will be offering the M Sports package for the BMW 7 Series. The M Sports package includes an aerodynamics package with distinctive M style elements including chrome trim and illuminated M entry trim.
